We spent January through March 2010 enjoying the company of good friends in Okeechobee, Florida. It was much chillier than 2009, big surprise. Everywhere except Vancouver BC was cold. Florida wasn't so cold we missed any golf, but wind and chill did keep us off the tennis courts more than once.
We left Fl for NC to swap out and reload some gear before our one-year odyssey. A WBCCI Caravan dragged us all about the US southwest, then we headed up to Gillette, WY, for a month for the 53rd WBCCI International Rally and Meeting. Up to Canada via Waterton Lake, then westward to Vancouver.
From Vancouver BC down to Whidbey Island, WA state, then Olympic Peninsula and Hoh Rain Forest then Ocean Park, WA (over six weeks in Washington). Then to Boise, ID to visit with good friends Bob and Faith before heading (for second time) to Sun Valley Jazz Festival before zooming down through Las Vegas and over old Hoover Dam (bypass wasn't quite finished) to Mesa AZ to play tennis three months.
Ended up with a little over 9,000 miles towing and another 5,000 horseback in 2010 -- a good year finished in Mesa AZ for October through December 2010.
